Seven Goals for 2010

I came across an article written by Jonny at "The Life Thing" about a structure that will change your life. It is a system of goal setting that is broken down into 7 sets of goals, aptly named "The 7 Life System." They are:
  1. 7 life principles
  2. 7 life goals
  3. 7 before 20/30/40/etc goals
  4. 7 yearly goals
  5. 7 monthly goals
  6. 7 weekly goals
  7. 7 daily goals
You can read the article in its entirety here: A Simple Structure That Will Change Your Life

It is basically a system that starts you off with giving 7 principles that you would like to live by in your life and breaks it down all the way to daily goals. The way that it is set up allows you to focus on the big picture and then break it down into very small pieces that will allow the ball to begin rolling.

I will share my 7 goals for 2010 here. (in no particular order)
  1. Be closer to my long distance girlfriend
  2. Save $1000 and pay off credit card (around $1500)
  3. Work out on a regular basis
  4. Meditate often (every other day to start)
  5. Maintain this blog
  6. 24 cumulative hours of service/volunteering
  7. Read 12 books
  8. Bonus goal: Find meaningful work
This is where my focus will lie in the upcoming year. Hopefully at the end of this year I will be able to look back and have a sense of accomplishment knowing that I was able to complete the goals I set forth.

What are some of your goals for this year?
